Pet Portraits

I am now scheduling 2011 for pet portraits and other commissioned work. Pet portraits begin at $1500 for an image measuring roughly 8" x 12"(this will frame to 14" x 18" easily). This is for one pet in a simple setting. Price is based on time, so the larger and / or more complex the drawing is, the more it will cost. Images measuring 11" x 15" (and frame to 16" x 20") range from $2500 - $3500. And please note that my job is to capture the "pussonalites", "dogmas", "bird-onalities", etc. of your pets, in my own drawing style - it will not be a photorealistic portrait.
I want to create a drawing made especially for you and that captures the essence of each critter. Think of how you would like your pet(s) to be portrayed and send me photos, descriptions, and stories to work from. At this point, 1/3 of the estimated price is due. Using your photos and stories, I will design a sketch using your ideas. I will then send or e-mail a copy to you. You and I will work on this sketch together, until you approve the sketch and say, "Yes! That's it!" You will then sign and date the sketch and send it back to me with the 2nd payment. Then I will put in the hours it takes to finish your piece. The final payment is due at delivery.

"Sunshine" waits for the camellias to bloom each year. When the flowers fall, he hunts the ones that have the coveted brown-edged petals to bring to his human. Sunshine is known for his "John Wayne" swagger and his knob-tipped tail.

Mark and Diana dedicate this portrait in memory of their beloved "Linus", who left this earthly world Dec. 31, 2002. He was their "lover boy" and is deeply missed. He is portrayed in the lower right corner, observing "Brandy" (his mom) grooming his sister "Crystal". "Tiny Tim" plays with a champagne cork as "Marble", a true tortie camoflage-girl watches. "Samantha" (the eldest) perches on the railing, wondering why anyone would want to live with all those "other cats" or grow peppers...
"Life on Lazy Lane" has been released as a limited edition giclee reproduced in an edition of 100 at its original size. The print size measures 33.5" x 46" and is $850 unframed.
Because of your requests, we also offer this image in a smaller size. These giclees prints measure 23" x 31" are limited to an edition of 250, $385 unframed.

In honor of their 25th wedding anniversary, Mr. Fox designed this for his beautiful wife. Pictured here are 7 of their most significant rescue cats. On the back of the chaise lounge is "Sunshine". Cuddling with "Mr. Fox" are "Mamicat" and "Cinnamon", with "Batesy-Boy" sitting at the end. Under the loveseat are "Picasso" and "Angel", while "Bobo" looks over his Mickey Mouse marking. This is an original colored pencil drawing on D'Arches 100% rag paper.
